Yami is a mover who directs and a director who moves, a multidisciplinary artist working in the intersection of movement, theatre and cross-art.

working in devised and collaboraritve spaces her core values and mission is to amplify black voices on and off stage, work with intersectional female empowerment and inspire an inclusive and inspiring art sector for all.
She has a passion for bold, "out of the box" new writing, creative work, directors and other creatives that like to rock the boat and challenge the status quo.

Her skill of working with cross-art forms has seen her collaborate with a multitude of diverse artists and organizations throughout her career and her speciality is storytelling using character, comedy, physicality and text.

Underpinning her aesthetic is her background, knowledge and love of Hip-Hop Culture and long career in dance and she describes her own work as Edutainment"= Education & Entertainment.
Working with many different abilities, and ages and with the skill to adapt to any situation, Yami is a true trailblazer in every sense.
